Hilti North America – Plano
Hilti is a world-leading manufacturer and supplier of quality, innovative and specialized tools and fastening systems for the professional user and Plano is the company’s North American headquarters.
Having had success with Hilti’s relocated tool testing and repair center, Pacific Builders was rehired to build its new headquarters in Plano, Texas. This AIA 2016 Built Design Award-winning corporate interiors project was designed by Gensler and features a custom exposed structural steel staircase with a unique “pit” for collaboration integrated into the stair steps and landing. The mix of exposed deck ceilings, high-end acoustical ceilings and walls as well as custom design elements provided a unique challenge that the team tackled and completed on a tight schedule.
The entire office was built exclusively with Hilti construction materials and more than 26,000 modified Hilti products were woven into the architecture. Hilti has since brought Pacific Builders to Oklahoma to help with projects there and just recently hired Pacific Builders to help with additional expansion efforts.
